The raw material. Our wool comes from merino sheep which are appropriately bred according to ecological guidelines in Australia. The term Virgin Wool describes untreated new wool. Our organic Virgin Wool was certified by demeter.
The characteristics. LIVING CRAFTS wool contains lanoline, a kind of grease found in sheep wool. It has self-cleaning characteristics. Its own smell neutralises other unpleasant odours. In addition, our soft wool can “regulate” the temperature, it can breathe but it does not itch.
The conditions. The sheep that deliver our wool are kept on natural meadows, as they should, and in appropriate stables. They only get organic food without any additives.
The manufacturing process. Our off-white wool is not treated chemically which is why it is so well-tolerated. The dyeing process is also carried out in a completely harmless way.
The production sites. Our wool is produced in Australia. Up until now, we have been processing it in Germany. Soon, all processing will be done in India.
