Thank you very much for visiting our website. We appreciate your trust and take the protection of your personal details very seriously. We, therefore, endeavour to guarantee your right of informational self-determination. As a legal basis, we employ the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz, TMG) and the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG) as well as other data protection regulations which we naturally comply with.
1) Subject Matter of Data Protection
The data protection subject matter concerns personal data. Pursuant to sec 3 (1) of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), they relate to any information comprising personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual. This includes details such as your name, postal address, e-mail address or telephone number but also your user figures, such as your IP address, if necessary.
In principle, your personal data is first encrypted by digital security systems and then transferred to us. We have taken technical steps to protect our web pages against damage, destruction, and unauthorised access.
2) Purpose-Related Data Collection, Processing, and Usage
On our website, personal data is processed and used (as basic user information) for the purpose of maintaining customer relationships and processing of orders. The data may only be used for advertising purposes (e.g. newsletters) after explicit consent. Under no circumstances will your personal data be sold to third parties or otherwise marketed.
They are only transmitted to third parties when you order services or ask us to send you the merchandise. We transmit your details to forwarding agents or other service providers solely for the purpose of either facilitating our services to you or settling the contract.
Furthermore, in individual cases, we are obligated to submit your personal data if that becomes necessary for purposes of criminal prosecution, to avert danger, to fulfil legally prescribed tasks of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution or of the Military Counter-Intelligence Service or to implement intellectual property rights and if we are called upon by the respective public authorities to fulfil this duty or if we are ordered to do so.
We need the fields marked as mandatory to process your enquiry or order. Any other data is only collected if the user supplies us therewith on a voluntary basis. As you fill in the fields, please double-check yourself what data you would like to share with us.
We also take data protection within our company very seriously. Our staff and subcontracting service providers are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to comply with data protection guidelines.
3) Further Data Collection, Processing and Usage
Customer details are SSL encoded (128bit). This includes every interaction when logged in as well as the input and transmission of data when logged out (contact form, product-recommendation-function and newsletter). We thus guarantee their secure transmission so that your data cannot be viewed by third parties.
In order to protect our own systems, anytime our homepage is accessed, we collect user figures which are stored in the form of log files. Each log file consists of the following:
• IP address
• Internet page from which you visit us
• Access date and time
• Data about your browser and operating system
• Data volume transferred
• Name of the downloaded file
• Name of your internet service provider (e.g. 1&1, T-Online) and
• Reports as to whether calling up a given page was successful or, if applicable, why it failed
This data is not stored in connection with your personal or other source data.
4) Right to Information and Right of Withdrawal
According to the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), you have the right to get free information about your stored data and the right to correct, block or delete the stored information. You have the additional right of withdrawal regarding the use and/or transmission of your data for advertisement purposes, too. However, please keep in mind that we as a GmbH & Co. KG (i.e. a limited partnership with a limited liability company as general partner) are legally obligated to keep records. If a contractual agreement is signed, we are, in addition, legally obligated to retain your customer data for a period of ten years.
6) Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service by Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses so-called "Cookies", i.e. text files, that are stored on your computer and that make it possible to analyse how you use the website. The data generated by a cookie about how you use the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to the Google server in the USA and stored there. Google shall use this data to analyse how you use the website, to compile reports about website activities for the website owner and to provide further services in connection with the use of the website and the internet. Google may also transfer such data to third parties if they are legally obligated to do so or if third parties process such data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will Google make a connection between your IP address and other data stored by Google. 7) Use of Social Plugins
Our internet presence uses Social Plugins ("Plugins") of the social network facebook.com which is run by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). The plugins are marked with a Facebook Logo or the words "Facebook Social Plugin". When you access any page of our internet presence that has such a plugin, your browser will set up a direct connection to the servers of Facebook. The content of the plugin is directly transmitted to your browser by facebook and is, in turn, embedded by it into the web page. By incorporating such plugins, Facebook obtains the information that you have accessed a given page of our internet presence. Our online offer contains links to other websites (so-called direct or indirect links to external websites), which are beyond the scope of our responsibility. The data protection guidelines at hand only apply to our website. Therefore, it is imperative that you are aware of the data protection regulations of such linked pages. In addition, we explicitly distance ourselves from the content thereof since we have no influence whatsoever on their current or future design and authorship. In case we find out about external, illegal content, we obligate ourselves within the framework of our possibilities, to prevent them (e.g. by deleting such links). We furthermore declare that at the time the link was created, we did not perceive any illegal content on the sites that were to be linked.
